Conservation Easement

94 acre conservation easement area

The Brown Soil and Water Conservation District & White Oak Creek Watershed Partners are the holders of three permanent conservation easements located on White Oak Creek.
The first permanent conservation easement sets aside nearly 94 acres of land along the east bank of White Oak Creek on the Rumpke Property. The second easement is located on a privately owned working farm that has set aside 15 acres along several small tributaries to White Oak Creek. The acreage is protected with Livestock Exclusion Fencing. The third conservation easement is located on Rumpke property on Sunshine Road. The easement is on a 4 acre created Wetland. The wetland is a beautiful naturally functioning wetland habitat for native plants and animals.
All of these easements allows Brown SWCD & White Oak Creek Watershed Partners to protect, preserve, enhance and restore the established forested corridor and natural habitat of fish, wildlife, plants and other important ecosystems.
